Who goes on Vacation to Cleveland??!!

When one of your dear friends moves to Cleveland, you have to go and visit. So, this past weekend the girls and I, along with Michelle Pfeffer, drove the 5 hours to Cleveland to visit the Pora Family. I have to admit, besides the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, I didn't think there would be much to do. Well, I was pleasantly surprised!

We had an absolutely fabulous time! We went to the Cleveland Science Center for Children. It was so amazing. The kids didn't want to leave. There were a million hands on experiences, a play place for the littler kids and crafts to make. We also saw an Omnimax movie about Mummies.

We also went to the beach on Lake Erie. It was STUNNING! Our family loves the beach and this was right up there as one of our favorites. The water was beautiful, the sand/dirt wasn't too gritty, and there is no salt in the water. There was a cute little ice cream stand at the beach called "The Honey Hut". Instead of sugar, they use honey to make the ice cream. It is very good, but not quite as firm as regular ice cream. If you didn't eat fast, it was all over you. Everyone was a sticky mess by the end of the evening.

Another great place was a shopping village called Crocker Park. For those of you from Lexington, it is what Hamburg could be if the developers had a sense of style. Tons of beautiful boutique shops, nice restaurants and cobble stone streets. There was even a band playing in the courtyard.

All in all, we had a fantastic weekend. The girls are looking forward to going back and visiting the Zoo, Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, and ......
